The purpose of the online Introduction to Nutrition course is to provide CEU courses for physical therapists in Florida (PTs) and physical therapist assistants (PTAs), and other similar healthcare providers like Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapist Assistant,Ā  Athletic Trainers (ATs, OTs, SLP) with the basic knowledge of nutrition and food.

7. Analyze food labels to counsel physical therapy patients on food contents and nutrients

  • 2 Hours on the Prevention of Medical Errors: Aimed at enhancing patient safety by understanding and preventing common medical mistakes.
  • 2 Hours on Florida Laws and Rules: Familiarize PTs with the specific regulations that govern their practice in Florida.
  • 2 Hours on Human Trafficking: Equip practitioners with the knowledge to recognize and respond to signs of human trafficking.
  • 2 Hours on Impairment in the Workplace: Required every other renewal period, this course highlights strategies for managing impairment-related challenges in professional settings.
