CEUs, or continuing education units, are credits earned through approved educational activities that are required to maintain licensure. These units ensure that physical therapists and physical therapist assistants continue developing their clinical knowledge and skills over time. CEUs may also be referred to as Contact Hours or CHs, depending on the state. Some states also use the term Continuing Education Hours. Most licensing boards require clinicians to complete a set number of hours during each renewal cycle to demonstrate continued competency and adherence to current standards of care.

As of January 2026, our courses feature reciprocal acceptance with 44 states, meaning 88% of states accept our courses for license renewal. CNPT® (Certified Nutritional Physical Therapist) certification is a structured credential designed to help clinicians integrate nutrition into rehabilitation practice. It is typically earned by completing a series of courses that cover foundational nutrition principles, assessment strategies, and specialized applications for patient populations.

Unlike general nutrition education, CNPT®  curriculum is designed to be practical and clinically relevant, helping providers apply nutrition concepts within their scope of practice to support better patient outcomes.

However, please note the credential restriction: While any healthcare professional can take our courses, you must be a licensed PT or PTA and take all 3 courses to officially earn the Certified Nutrition for Physical Therapy (CNPT®) designation.

Once you have successfully completed all three courses and passed the exams, simply email a copy or screenshot of your active PT/PTA license to our team. We will verify your license and issue your official certification.
